In an age where health and fitness has become a concern, it is time to examine the important values of physical fitness on our youth. I believe a physical education program is an integral part of a student's physical, social, intellectual and emotional well-being.
A physical education program enhances the achievement of the basic skills and fitness needed to develop and enjoy a healthy lifestyle. An effective, guided physical education experience brings students a level of social development characterized by sportsmanship and respect for oneself and others.
Participation is the most important aspect of physical education at Bark River Harris Schools. In order to receive full credit, students must be suitably dressed. Acceptable dress for class includes indoor gym shoes, athletic shorts or windpants and a t-shirt. Students will be expected to be prepared, fully participate in all activities and have a positive attitude. I truly want Physical Education to be enjoyable, Educational and productive. One thing I stress in class, is that honest hard work is always rewarded. Our program is dedicated to helping students live life to the fullest, be participants and to maintain enthusiasm each and every day!
